Ceiling tin was popular in Victorian buildings over 100 years ago.  I’ve ordered some new sheets with a star pattern, and am applying them over the entire body of the car as a sort of undercoat.  Slow going as there are lots of compound curves in new cars.

I’ve whitewashed the tin and scratched it up a bit for controlled rust.

BE CAREFUL with these new cars – you can’t just screw into the body willy nilly.  There are numerous sensors and airbags all over, so research that before boring holes.
