Looks like I forgot to post about my installation at East Jesus, an outdoor art museum near Salvation Mountain & Bombay Beach by the Salton Sea.  Founded by Charlie Russell, a good friend and ArtCar artist who died in 2011.  It has been maintained by a great cadre of young folks, many of whom work at Burning Man’s DPW.  I was able to install this glass piece, “Breakable,” underneath the “nothing ever happens” banner I brought Charlie in 2007 or so.

The glass objects light up beautifully in the sun.  Using glass bottles and such was something Charlie did a lot at East Jesus.  The title refers to how, like the glass, Charlie was sturdy and strong in so many ways, but more fragile than he let on.
